Kenntnisse über den Einfluss von Umweltfaktoren auf das Baumwachstum und der Bestandsdynamik in Wäldern als Grundlage zur Bearbeitung waldökologischer und baumphysiologischer Fragestellungen.
Grundlagen sowie aktuelle Anwendungen der Jahrringanalyse als Methode in der Waldökosystemforschung, Ökophysiologie und Paläoökologie werden vorgestellt.
