The students know the basics of the development of the cardiovascular system. They have an overview of non-invasive methods for the characterization of developmental physiological processes of the cardiovascular system and can apply them.


How does the cardiovascular system develop during embryonic and larval stages: What are the developmental milestones in the development of cardiovascular function? How can they be characterized using non invasive techniques in animal models. What is the relevance of these developmental steps for cardiovascular diseases?

Microscopy, Data acquisition and analysis

Assessment of the practical skills during the whole course and the written protocol at the end of the course.
