Successful students will have acquired fundamental knowledge in numeric representation of psychological entities and will be able to plan and analyse simple studies, e.g., comparison of randomized groups, relationships between variables, use of software such as R and SPSS.

Scales, descriptive statistics and figures, probability, binomial distribution and test, normal distribution and z-test, chi-square distribution, group comparisons for binary, ordinal and interval data, interval scales, t-test for paired and independent samples, power and sample size planning, correlation and simple regression, multiple regression. Extra topic: Bayesian testing.
