Students reflect on the opportunities and limitations of individual behavior versus systemic change in a pluralistic society. Students will learn the role and the contribution of psychology to the protection of the planet.
The research groups of the department of psychology present their contribution to a sustainable scientific psychology—a discipline that serves humanity and does not harm the planet. Topics: exponential growth, forgetting, intention-behavior gap, common good dilemmas, climate denial, norms and values, communication, techniques for discrediting, greenwashing, ecological footprint, alternative economies, climate justice, climate knowledge, measurement issues, climate activism
