PR Glass Processing for Laboratory Purposes

Participants learn the methods of working with glass and how to independently produce simple glass devices for use in the laboratory.

You practice glass blowing practically and independently and can make simple glass apparatus needed in the laboratory.
You will find out how the properties of silicate glass affect the processing methods and learn how to use them.
You will deal with safety and accident prevention during glass processing.

Step-by-step, building-up approach to manual skills.
Learning to appreciate the material through repeated trials and inventiveness.

Courses with immanent examination character. The assessment is based on regular practical and oral contributions of the students and the fulfillment of the attendance requirement.

Active enrollment in a chemistry or pharmacy curriculum.

Course schedule: 8.04.2024;  course A: 08:00-10:00, course B: 10:20-12:20.
Participants will receive the preliminary information and group assignment on march 18th, 2024 by e-mail.
Due to limited laboratory places, please register only if you actually have time, otherwise you prevent participation by others.
