• Introduction to analytical techniques commonly used in pharmaceutical sciences;
• theoretical background of TLC, HPLC, SFC, GC, CE and MS
• instrumental setup, applicability and typical applications, pros and cons.

Chemistry:

• Correlation molecular structure and physicochemical properties: acid + base, pKa of drugs, solubility, polar/apolar
• non-covalent interactions/ drug-target interactions
• stereochemistry
• stability: hydrolysis, oxidation, shelf-life
• examples for synthesis
