Learning Outcome:

Students demonstrate advanced knowledge about patterns, structures and functionality of landscapes as well as landscape ecological theories, methods and tools. Students are able to apply advanced technologies of landscape ecological measurements and analyses – based on gained knowledge from the lecture – to selected case studies.

Contents:

State-of-the-art knowledge and quantitative methods in landscape ecology and landscape structure analyses. Deepening of theoretical concepts from the lecture using applied research questions and case studies.

Methods:

Lecture and practical course with additional teaching material (reading, handout) in e-campus.

Assessment:

Examinations using continuous assessment based on regular written and/or oral contributions from the participants.
