Basic knowledge of scientific theoretical nature of biology including gender aspects its history and its relationship to other disciplines are learned.

Contents:

The lecture provides the chance to look beyond one´s own nose by discussing cultural and societal aspects, requirements, implications and interplay of life sciences.

Especially men are invited to join this course.

Methods:

Initial essay, presentation, participation in discussions and final exam will be assessed.

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be provided online.

Prerequisites:

Essay: topic will be provided after registration of students
