The seminar in English ‘Global Citizenship Education in times of crisis? Transformative Education, SDGs and the Inner Development Goals’ is aimed at Master's students from all degree programmes. The focus is on the question of how Global Citizenship Education, i.e. political education on a global level, can accompany learners in the sense of Transformative Education (UNESCO) in an increasingly complex world and multiple global crises. What is necessary from the perspective of GCED (attitudes, competences, values, knowledge) in order to contribute to global sustainable development? What role can transformative education play in school and extracurricular educational work, universities, adult education, further education and training in companies?
The examination of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) supports the learning process of the heterogeneous, interdisciplinary group. In addition to literature work, various methods of co-creation, self-reflection and project work, smaller excursions to relevant institutions in Tyrol and discussions with experts are also planned.
Interactive, process-oriented, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, literature work, innovative methods of co-creation and group work (service design, anti-bias approach, Betzavta), self-reflection, project design and implementation and visits to institutions active in the field of global education in Tyrol (e.g. Caritas Welthaus, Impact Hub Tirol Klimabündnis Tirol, InfoEck - Jugendinfo Tirol and Südwind Tirol).
