An application problem of earthquake engineering is investigated based on numerical methods.

Methods:

Introductory lecture. Modeling of the structure in the software “OpenSees”. Evaluation and interpretation of the numerical outcomes.

Assessment:

The steps of the project need to be prepared as written and oral report.

Will be discussed in the introductory class

Prerequisites:

Attendance of the class “Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering 2”.
