By the end of this lecture on "Special Topics 2: Design of Power Converter: From Theory to Practice," students will be able to:
- Analyze, evaluate and compare various power converter topologies for any applications.
- Design all passive components such as switches, filter capacitors, magnetic components.
- Advanced design of Magnetic component (Inductors, Transformers and coupled inductors)
- Account for Thermal considerations, especially applied to transistors and magnetic components.
- Use Pareto front analysis to optimize and compare different solutions.
- Understanding how to test, debug and verify experimentally the converters
