• Fundamental understanding of the phenomenon of photography. • Acquisition of advanced competencies in the field of image-generating media. • Knowledge on the effect of images.
In order to understand how we are affected by images we need to know about the development of and technique behind new media. The phenomenon of photography will therefore be closely examined; from the origins of the camera obscura, to analogue photography with the developing process in the dark room, and finally digital photography and editing. The question of the particular effect of different images thereby plays a key role.
