The course serves as an introduction to various aspects of film. The approach will be two-pronged in that not only technical features, such as lighting, camera, and editing will be dealt with but also questions of genre and narrative style, i.e., the classic realist text, art cinema, as well as different critical theories.
Lecture, texts and film clips, individual and group discussion, final test, group production of short film clips.
Active participation, written final exam
