Students who have completed this module should understand the topics covered in the lecture, and be able to express and apply them. They should be able to independently acquire similar knowledge and have a basic understanding of digital signal processing.
Sampling and signal reconstruction; continuous and discrete signals in time and frequency domain; discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and fast Fourier transform (FFT); convolution; resampling; spectral analysis, discrete short-time Fourier transform (STFT); digital filters; quantization and sampling artefacts; processing of audio and image signals, digital signal processors
