This course is an introduction to specific academic working skills essential for students of English and American Studies. Students will practice the effective use of library catalogues, databases, bibliographical indices, and online resources. They will learn how to do research, evaluate material, prepare presentations, and write academic papers. The overall aim of this course is to familiarize students with the basic terminology and methodology of academic research. It is a ‘toolbox’ that provides you access to the academic world.
