to raise critical awareness about the motivational power of poems; to explore a range of methodological procedures for dealing with poems in the language class; to produce 3 lessons plans for a week's work at CEFR B1 or B2 level
exploring a wide variety of poems (different sub-genres and periods); applying creative approaches to dealing with such poems; activating the language potential of poems
a short series of introductory workshops; individual or paired presentaion of one complete lesson, or parts of all 3 lessons, in simulation mode; improving the initial plans
Assessed: simulation of one complete lesson (or parts of all 3); quality of initial plans; improved version of plans, entered in dossier; a poster summarizing work completed;
Large exhibition of anthologies of poems and books/ articles of methdological procedures for dealing with poems in class - offered in the opening workshops
