This course is specifically designed for students interested in a research-oriented career. A good undergraduate knowledge of economic theory and calculus is required. The course introduces basic analytical tools that are necessary for conducting research in the field of microeconomics. Students will learn how to address a microeconomic problem by structuring it as a mathematical model and how to obtain useful economic predictions form such model.

The course covers at an advanced level the most important areas of microeconomics (Theory of Consumer Demand, Production Theory, Decision Theory, Game Theory, General Equilibrium, Adverse Selection & Moral Hazard).
