Students who have completed this module understand the content of the lecture and are able to apply and reproduce it. They are also able to obtain similar knowledge independently. Furthermore, they have obtained a basic understanding for data warehouses and associated methods.
The lecture offers an overview of concepts, techniques, and the internal structure of data warehouse systems from a Computer Science perspective. Topics covered in detail include reference architectures, multi-dimensional data models and their technical implementations as well as the phases of developing data warehouses.
