Students will learn to grasp the fundamental principles and scientific standards of gender-specific research. They will be able to implement current gender-specific knowledge in medical research design, to demonstrate scientific precision and to apply generally accepted scientific standards. On the basis of their own branch of study students will be able to analyze research critically and to design the relevant gender-specific research questions in their discipline. Students will be able to take consideration of gender and sex differentiation in scientific research and scientific standards.

On the basis of selected medical disciplines, students of the LFU will acquire an overview of Gender Medicine as a cross cutting discipline in clinical daily life and medical research. Starting at their own branch of study students will draw up a research design which takes consideration of international gender-specific research standards.

Lecture, personal investigation and research, presentation and scientific discussion

Presentation of the current gender-specific research in the selected discipline and scientific discussion (Literature investigation, presentation, lecture)
