Learning Outcome:

The course sets out to revise the syllabus of the main lecture: International Law. An in-depth discussion of examples of typical and current international law cases will help students to consolidate their knowledge of international law in preparation for the final exam.

Contents:

Building on the core content of the main lecture, we will examine, in particular, the sources of international law, the relationship between international law and national legal systems and the subjects of international law. Further relevant material will also be discussed.

Methods:

One week prior to each class, students will be supplied electronically with the course material, which will include case studies and back-up information. In class, following a short introduction, students will be expected to discuss and actively engage with the subject matter.

Assessment:

The final assessment will be based on the marks attained in two written exams and compulsory oral participation.

Remarks:

Limited number of course participants.Registration: Students of law, commercial law and political science via e-Campus, LFU-online or at the first meeting. Lecture material can be downloaded from e-Campus.
