To ensure that students have CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B2 level in listening and speaking skills. Listening: to promote receptive listening skills with particular stress on understanding gist and details. Speaking: to promote oral skills and highlight problem areas in pronunciation, intonation, stress, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and oral communication
Use of a variety of texts on areas pertaining to English and American Studies, including literature studies, cultural studies, linguistics, media studies, etc.
Interactive teacher student approach, group work, listening journal.
Listening final exam. Oral final exam. Exam dates to be announced in the course.
