This course aims to introduce students to a variety of current topics in English lexicology.

This course is meant as an overview of the field of English lexicology and its most current developments. It aims to provide students with both the theoretical background to and the application of this important branch of linguistics that studies words, their nature and meaning, relations between words (semantic relations), word groups and the whole lexicon.

Regular attendance, active participation, oral presentation, term paper, written exam.
