Lecture Basics I Modern Times: Early Modern Period

Basic knowledge on modern history, particularly for the early modern period (c. 1500-1800)
The lecture provides an overview of the political, social, economic and cultural structures and changes in Europe from the second half of the fifteenth to the end of the eighteenth centuries. Special attention will be paid, amongst others, to state-building, estate-based society, long-distance trading and confessionalisation.
