Learning Outcome:

Knowing: History and systematic theology of the act of faith in the perspective between God and the freedom of persons.

Contents:

History and Theology of the act of faith: Foundation in the Bible; patristic and scolastic models (Augustine, Thomas of Aquine).
Modern question: Development and assent (Newman and Rousselot).
Actual discussion on the question of God activity (Bernhardt, von Stosch).

Methods:

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
