Differentiation among and clarification of terms such as education, upbringing, teaching, learning, lessons, evaluation; understanding of respective theories and concepts; practice-oriented examination of basic questions and situations in teaching and learning.

- Insight into different modes of teaching and learning, including conceptual viewpoints
- Examination of individual school-theories
- Attributes of educator professionalism
- Dealing with different types of group dynamics (specifically classroom dynamics)
- Classroom disruptions and conflict situations
- Communication theories
