This module is designed to provide doctoral students with the opportunity to have their dissertation projects (from the basic idea to methodological and theoretical issues) critically considered by fellow PhD students and supervisors. After successful completion of this module, the students are able to critically assess their own project and to give it a reasonably clear structure. Moreover, students develop the ability to appropriately communicate scientific questions and findings.

This research seminar shall provide the participants of the PhD-programme with another opportunity to present their ongoing dissertation projects and develop them in light of the critique to be formulated by the participants of this seminar. All participants are expected to provide a reasonable input both as a "presenter" and a "discussant".
