 Developing a basic understanding and specific advanced knowledge of the lectures topic

This lecture offers an insight into the complete works of the painter. The extent of other artist’s contributions to Rubens work remains unclear thus the question of his workshop situation will also be discussed. Studies referring to style, iconography, iconology and philosophy will also be included as well as discussion of Rubens acquaintances with powerful persons in Europe and his political influence
