Acquisition of competences in dealing with historical sources and secondary literature on Economic and Social History as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and written form.

Gardening is a current trend of highly urbanized societies and apparently corresponds to a current social need. Starting from this observance, the students are guided to research in gender-critical perspective on relevant topics of Economic History such for example: medieval monastery gardens, medicinal herbs cultivation, historic gardes, gardening in the context of therapies, urban parks, beekeeping, sericulture, vineyards, Schrebergärten, associations for beautification and tourism, etc.

 

Interactive learning, researches of literature, online researches, moderated individual presentations, group discussions, one or two smaller teaching excursions.

Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions, oral presentation and handout, written papet (10-15 pages).

Literature is researched and acquired during the course.
