Students will understand what ecotoxicology means and in addition, will know the most important groups of environmental contaminants, along with their effects on organisms and ecosystems.
Introduction into ecotoxicology. Ecotoxicological principles and methods. Important groups of environmental conataminants: their chemistry, distribution in the environment, uptake by organisms, toxicological effects, impact on ecosystems.
Interactive teaching methods based on power point presentations and additional documents
Two or three written examinations or (due to enquiry) oral examination
