In the seminar we will give an overview on different intervention techniques in the clinical-developmental field, in order zu document the broad spectrum of psychodynamic and behaviroal approaches in mother-infant psychotherapy. A further aim is to observe, code and analyze concrete interaction episodes, including the perception of own counter-transference processes. Another aim is to learn how to give a prognosis for the potential further development. Subtle signs of the interaction patterns, signs of psychological burden are basic for the perception and the judgement of dyadic interactions and family dynamics. Crucial topics are: Recognition of early deficits, over- or understimulation, the meaning of dyadic interactions and attachment for the further development of compensatory defensive strategies
