Acquisition of knowledge on the physics of controlled fusion experiments.

Basics of nuclear fusion; plasma confinement systems; introdurction to magnetohydrodynamics; lineare fusion experiments; tokamaks, stellarators and torsatrons; non-magnetic fusion; plasma heating

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.

Basic knowledge of plasma physics is advantageous. However, as far as possible the contents will be presented in such a way that it will be understandable also without knowledge of plasma physics.
