Introduction to the biology of cell division and different forms of cell death across species. Definition of intersections between cell division and cell death. Physiological relevance for embryogenesis and tissue homeostasis. Possible pathological consequences of faulty cell division or impaired cell death.

Molecular Biology of the Cell (Alberts)

A preliminary meeting for all optional modules of the master study in molecular biology will be held on March 3, 2014 at 15 pm in lecture hall B. It is obligatory to attend all three parts (lecture, seminar, course) to pass the module.
