To gain an overview over the principal biological mechanisms regulating cell division and cell death

Contents:

Introduction to the biology of cell division and different forms of cell death across species. Definition of intersections between cell division and cell death. Physiological relevance for embryogenesis and tissue homeostasis. Possible pathological consequences of faulty cell division or impaired cell death.
