summer semester 2014 | Last update: 06.02.2014 | Place course on memo listPrerequisites: The learner can understand everyday expressions and simple sentences about the daily routine, leisure and profession and can carry out simple chores, e.g. while shopping or travelling.
Goal: At this level the learner can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance - e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, immediate environment; can communicate in routine situations of information exchange on familiar and routine matters; can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, education, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Topics: meeting other people; pictures; living (flat) - furnishing, rooms, TV-programmes; cooking and Chinese cuisine
Linguistic Goals: to express the pleasure of meeting someone; to ask for somebody/ something; to describe a picture/ photograph; to inform somebody about the position of objects and to ask for the position of objects; to describe actions currently happening; to ask about dishes/ meals and ingredients
Structural Goals: doubling of verbs of action - to talk about an action, which does not last long or to avoid formal use; adjective - verb sentence; expressions for location as nouns - to indicate place; statements with “shi“ (“be“) and “you“ (“have“) - to indicate the presence of persons/ objects; continuous aspect of an action „zheng“ - to indicate that an action is happening at the time of speaking; six question types; degree complement "de" with verbs - to express the extension of an action's quality; degree complement “de“ with adjectives - to express the extension of a state's quality
