Goal: A1

At this level the learner can understand everyday expressions and simple sentences aimed at the satisfaction of simple needs of a concrete type; he/she can introduce himself/herself and others and ask questions about personal details - e.g. where they live, whom they know and what things they own - and can answer questions of this kind; can communicate in a simple way if the other person is sympathetic and speaks slowly and carefully.

Topics:
newspapers in Norway; food; the educational system in Norway; in a town; travelling/means of transport; in a hotel; Norwegian art; emotions; paperwork and formalities; interests; living - flat hunting/furnishings

Linguistic Goals:
to indicate the way; to find your way in a town/city; to find out something; to book a room; to express emotions; to express sympathy/admiration; to order something in a restaurant; to ask for directions; to express emotions; to describe a flat

Structural Goals:
demonstrative pronoun „den“ – to emphasize a noun; the present perfect of regular verbs: to talk about an event/action in the past, when the exact time is not known or not important; past perfect - to name actions in the past which end before another action/event in the past; future I – to narrate actions/facts in the future; comparison of adjectives: the comparative - to compare characteristics/features of people or objects; comparison of adjectives: the superlative - to describe the highest degree of characteristics/qualities/features of people or objects; conjunctions of time/reason/condition/purpose/result/concession/comparison - to link clauses; possessive pronouns - to indicate possession

interactive language instruction
written and oral midterm test (testing of writing, listening and reading comprehension) and final test (testing of writing, listening and reading comprehension and speaking/dialogues)
