Advanced understanding of current challenges to care takers and care givers as well as their gender differentiation. 

Carol Gilligan´s research was a starting point for Care Ethics. Meanwhile there is a variety of theories in Care Ethics which deal with certain aspects of care giving and care taking on the individual and societal level. A special focus of the course will be gender on issues in these theories.
