The Polish language course is designed to introduce students to the essentials of Polish grammar, the principles of Polish pronunciation and vocabulary as well as some basic communication competence. Two textbooks, “Polnish Intensive” (grammatical exercises) by Gustaw Krampitz and “Hurra po polsku” (conversation) by Aneta Szymkiewicz, will be used during the course.

Basic grammar skills, phonetics, interferences with other Slavic languages, listening comprehension, conversations in everyday situations.

After the course students should have attained a basic knowledge of the Polish language which corresponds to the requirements of A1/A2 levels. The students should be able to understand and use Polish in everyday situations. The topics include: information about a person and family, introducing oneself, career, education, job, leisure, shopping, restaurant, hotel, surroundings, daily life etc.
