Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture

The winged altarpiece, which spread over most of Europe in the late Middle Ages, will be discussed regarding its liturgical functions and forms and its development from 1300 up the 16th century will be presented on the basis of various examples

This course is assessed via continuous assessment and attendance is compulsory, written and oral presentations
