In-depth knowledge of the great waves of migration in and from Europe in the 20th Century.

Contents:

This course focusses on the large waves of migration in and from Europe in the 20th Century, i.e. emigration, escape and expulsion - from the beginning of World War I to the interwar period, and from World War II and the years of the Cold War to the 1990s.

Methods:

Lecture, team work, reading, oral presentations, discussions.

Assessment:

Regular attendance, active participation in discussions, required readings, oral presentation, written paper.

Literature:

Will be discussed in the first lesson.

Online-enrollment required starting 27.01.2014
