Acquisition of competences in dealing with historical sources and secondary literature on Austrian History as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral or written form; the acquisition of awareness and the use of relevant scientific methods; acquisition of an awareness of the forms of historical self-display and the ability to present historical relationships on-site.

Using examples of selected topics in Austrian history questions and problems of the First World War will be discussed from an international perspective.

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants). Working instructions, attendance at all sessions, lectures, oral presentation and written (team-) papers.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations". Continuous assessment, attendance at all sessions, participation in discussions, presentations, written papers.
