Development of an understanding of the role of Embodiment for cognitive scientific issues

In this course, students should read the book by Shaun Gallagher  “How the body shapes the mind” together and discuss it. Every session of the course deals with a special chapter of Freeman's book (students are encouraged to study the chapter in question before every seminar).

Gallagher’s book offers a survey of neuroscience as it is related to the question of embodiment

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
