Having successfully completed this module, students are able to actively participate in the discussion of the current state of knowledge in the area of the dissertation topic and can critically reflect on and discuss issues with experts in the chosen special discipline of chemistry.

Mandatory participation in six special seminars in the subject‐specific fieldof the dissertation as defined in the dissertation agreement; subjectspecific fields are: analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, textile chemistry, and theoretical chemistry.

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
