Students are familiarised with important concepts of varnish technology, paint production and processing, as well as the economic and environmental determinants governing development and production of varnish coatings
Basic aspects of varnish technology (ingredients, formulation technology, applications, ecological aspects), technology of production and processing, economic and ecological aspects. Nanotechnology in coatings.
Principles of design of experiments (DOE) and quality management in paint formulation.
The focus lies on organic coatings.
