103262 Interdisciplinary Competences: Theory and Practice: Theories of Personality and Concept of Humankind
winter semester 2014/2015 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listStudents have acquired basic philosophical and anthropological knowledge.
Whether in a private, in a professional or even in a psychotherapeutic context: our interpersonal communication is implicitly influenced by certain images and conceptions of the human being which are based on theories of personality. Why are there so many different theories and concepts (e.g. mechanistic, organismic, factor-analytic or communication-theoretical concepts) which only partially live up to the phenomenon of the “human being” up until now? Then what exactly is the human being, what is a person within the scope of empirical psychology, psychotherapy respectively various consulting programmes and how can we comprehend them scientifically? This lecture focuses on the systematic reflection and the illustration of the relationship between concept and theory. Additionally, closely related conceptions such as e.g. the sole, the psyche, the person, the personality, the conscious, the subject, the character, the temper etc. are introduced and localised in their historical and interdisciplinary context (especially pedagogy, psychology and psychotherapy).
Lecture with the possibility to ask questions and have a discussion.
