Students possess advanced knowledge of electrical power and drive engineering, their qualities and relationships. They are suitably qualified for the competent application of these disciplines to solve practical problems.

Energy and power in electrical circuits, energy supply and power plant technology (hydro, thermal, nuclear, wind, etc.), transmission and distribution networks, electrical systems and devices, power supplies, electrical machines (transformers, synchronous and asynchronous machines, dc machines), electrical drives and control techniques (principles, operating characteristics, power electronics, etc)

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

written examination (90 min) for examination dates 1-3
