Learning Outcome:

Students acquire enhanced knowledge on selected issues of the Austrian political system.

Contents:

Such as in other countries, Austria’s party system is in a process of rapid change, at the same maintaining elements of a “party state” as has been characteristic for the Second Republic. Focusing on case studies, the course deals with the impact on the structure of party competition.

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).
