Exemplary analysis of forms and institutions of Conveyance of Literature
in view of their actual functions, strategies and methods as well as practical
implementation.

 The seminar gives an introduction into the work of an editor and information about the structures and relations in the literary scene. It also offers a number of trainings regarding the development of a fiction programme and the editorial work on a manuscript as well as the relationship between editor and author. By taking the example of a few new books there will also be a discussion of the concentration of media and the impact on the literary scene and the role of literary criticism.

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

Books to be read: Maja Haderlap, Engel des Vergessens, novel, btb; Daniela Krien, Irgendwann werden wir uns alles erzählen, novel, List Taschenbuch; Jonas Lüscher, Frühling der Barbaren, novella, C.H. Beck; Clemens Setz, Die Liebe zur Zeit des Mahlstädter Kindes, stories, suhrkamp taschenbuch.

Recommended for the 3rd Semester in MA-Studies in German as well as for German Philology (Diploma), 2nd part, with positively marked courses in module 6 and 2. Requirements for German Philology (Diploma) and German (teacher training): completed 1st part of studies.
