Focus on the field of research chosen by the individual student for his/her Master Thesis; independent scientific work; preparation and supervision of the Master Thesis; discussion of ongoing research work as well as methods and theories of Media Research 

Discussion of selected problems and strategies concerning research projects in Media Studies and Media Linguistics - subject search, methodological discussion, presentation of results; discussion of detailed issues in fundamental fields of Media Research, especially taking into account the students’ interest in research.

Master programme Media: none
Master programme German Philology: positive completion of compulsory modules 1-6 and one of the elective modules 1-3
Teaching degree programme or Diploma programme: 1st part of studies (Linguistics) 

Recommended for the third semester (Master Programme Media and German Philology) and for the 2nd part of studies (Teaching degree programme). Students of Master Programme Media have priority.

Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (teacher training programs/specialized degree programs), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course.
