Learning Outcome:

Graduates of this module have an overview of some current issues in higher numerical analysis and acquired the methods for their treatment. Furthermore, they gained deeper understanding of the field of numerical analysis and are able to study and solve problems of this field.

Contents:

The exercises which complement the lecture will include a mix of blackboard presentations, programming exercises, and an extended project (most of which have to be prepared outside of the classroom). The extended project must be presented in January.

Methods:

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
