This is an introductory course to the topic of information security. Students graduating form this course will acquire the basic knowledge and understanding of the three fundemental questions of computer security: (1) What assets do we need to protect, (2) how are these assets threatended, and (3) What can be done to counter those threats?.

Cryptographic algorithms and key management; security engineering; internet protocols and vulnerabilities; security protocols; secure coding; security management; computer forensics

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
