Program on travel detection and energy consumption: acquisition of knowledge in the field of driving time detection and energy consumption of trains as a basis for determining the performance and timetables. Acquisition of knowledge in Line layout (railway line and train station), calculate and display the track plan.

Practice: calculation of running time and energy consumption by passenger trains and by freight trains, aligning tracks, switches and crossovers. Concrete examples: elements of aligning tracks including types of switches (digital terrain model), designing of train stations, a track plan for a station and another for a feight station

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

writing program on travel detection and energy consumption: Programme Line layout (free range and train station), inclusion and representation in the track plan.
